Rains, thunderstorms, sometimes hail and squalls – forecasters predict precipitation and a slight decrease in temperature in Ukraine

In the afternoon of July 17, as well as on Thursday, rains are expected to cover an extensive area. Also, the air temperature will decrease slightly on the territory of Ukraine.

Natalia Ptukha, Spokesperson of the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, made this statement during a briefing at Media Center Ukraine.

“We expect that there will be a change of air masses tomorrow. This will be felt especially in the western and northern regions. While this change is taking place, there will naturally be a lot of storms, because there is a lot of heat, moisture, energy, which need to go somewhere. Accordingly, we will have quite active thunderstorm activity, hail and squalls in some places. Tomorrow this will mainly occur in the west, north and partly the center. Then, this activity will spread to the rest of the regions – the south-east of Ukraine, and there will also be a certain change,” Natalia Ptukha noted.

On July 18, the morning will be quite hot, but over the day the weather will begin to change, and daytime temperature highs will be within 30 degrees for the west and north of the country. For the south, east and center, the change will take place a little later, and the temperature will remain around 35 degrees.
