Serhii Bratchuk, Head of the Public Council under the Odesa Oblast State Administration, Spokesman of the Head of Oblast Military Administration, made this statement at a briefing at Media Center Ukraine — Ukrinform.

“I’d like to remind you that since December 2022, there have been attacks on energy infrastructure facilities, there were hits on the territory of Odesa region. Efforts to restore these damaged facilities are currently ongoing. The last attack on January 26 also resulted in destruction, the consequences of which we are trying to eliminate. The key point is that on February 3 and 4, literally within a day, there were two emergency situations that turned into significant accidents at these facilities owned by Ukrenergo. These facilities provided power to Odesa itself and its district. At the time of the accident, more than 550,000 households were without electricity. Over these days, it was possible to supply electricity to almost half of the consumers,” — Bratchuk said.
