Poland is the country most targeted by russian disinformation — VoxCheck Project Manager

Almost a quarter of all the disinformation cases unveiled by the team of fact-checkers of a VoxCheck project spanning six European countries were in Poland.

Svitlana Slipchenko, VoxCheck Project Manager, made this statement during the presentation of the study “Propaganda diary-2022: the year of russian disinformation in Europe” at Media Center Ukraine — Ukrinform.

“As our analysis showed, the country most targeted by russian propaganda turned out to be Poland. This is the country where almost a quarter of all disinformation cases have been recorded. This is the country in which the most sources of disinformation were found. And thus Poland turned out to be the most saturated with russian disinformation,” she noted.

According to Svitlana Slipchenko, this may be connected to the large influx of Ukrainian refugees, in particular, in Poland. And accordingly, the Polish society shows particular sensitivity precisely to the topic of Ukraine and Ukrainians.
