“Over 20% of culture industry workers have stopped their professional activity,” Culture Ministry

Halyna Hryhorenko, Deputy Minister of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine made this statement at Media Center Ukraine — Ukrinform.

“As of now, more than 20% of cultural workers are abroad, have changed their field of work or are at the front. And this is a big problem, because if we lose people, we will lose their knowledge and skills. And the way out of the situation is through grant programs,” — she said.

The Deputy Minister added that a number of grant programs already exist. They are implemented through the UNESCO programs and a number of other organizations.

“These grant programs mean assistance with business relocation, providing training to new personnel and creating new working conditions for those who have moved abroad,” she pointed out.
