“Over 2 million Ukrainian students have the opportunity to study in class. This is 65% of all schoolchildren,” Education and Science Ministry

More than 2 million Ukrainian students can study offline. This is 60-65% of all schoolchildren. Andrii Vitrenko, First Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine, spoke about this at a briefing at Media Center Ukraine. According to him, since September 1 this year, more than 120,000 children have already switched to a mixed form of education. Mainly, this figure includes students who started the school year exclusively online. The Deputy Minister says that the reason is that more and more children are returning from abroad, and at the same time, more and more Ukrainian schools are returning to in-person learning.

“At the beginning of June this year, there were more than 600,000 children outside the territory of Ukraine, now there are a little more than 400,000 of them. More and more schools that have shelters and a permission from the State Emergency Service are opening their doors. That is, these processes are simultaneous,” — said Andrii Vitrenko.
