Over 2,500 Ukrainians freed from russian captivity since start of full-scale invasion – Andriy Yusov

In the course of the full-scale invasion, during the war, Ukraine is returning its defenders. As of now, 48 exchanges have already taken place, 2,598 captured defenders, as well as civilians, have been returned from russian captivity.

Andriy Yusov, Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, made this statement during a briefing at Media Center Ukraine – Ukrinform.

“2,598 Ukrainians have been returned from russian captivity as of now, and 48 exchanges have already taken place. Work and preparation on the future ones are ongoing. And we are waiting, hoping that in the near future there will be good news, some more good news for the families of our defenders. But, of course, there is still a lot of work to be done,” Andriy Yusov, a representative of the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, said.
