Over 1000 vessels have left the ports of Greater Odesa since the grain deal was launched

They have exported almost 33 million tons of agricultural products. Oleksiy Dmytrenko, interim action director of the Odesa regional economic department, said this at a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine – Odesa.

“Over the 11 months of the grain deal, more than 1,000 vessels with 32.9 million tons of agricultural products – corn, wheat, sunflower oil, barley, rapeseed, etc. – left the ports of Big Odesa. The ships were heading to Asia, Europe, and Africa. And in just six months of 2023, 34.4 tons of cargo were handled in the ports of Big Odesa,” – the official said.

He added that after the termination of the Grain Initiative, the aggressor country deliberately attacks port infrastructure and granaries. Hundreds of thousands of tons of food, more than 30 port infrastructure facilities, and 5 civilian vessels have been damaged and partially destroyed.
