Only one in five russians fears mobilization, while the russian authorities are almost fully prepared to launch it at any moment – Research findings

Currently, 21% of russians consider mobilization to be a problem. About 45% of the population believe that mobilization will affect them or their relatives, but only one in five russians actually fears it. Meanwhile, the russian government has everything in place to start mobilization at any moment from April 1.

Political analyst Vadym Denysenko shared these findings during a presentation at the Media Center Ukraine.

“If we talk about the percentage of the population who believe that the mobilization will affect them or their relatives, it’s about 45%. However, many expect that negotiations will take place and lead to peace, which is why this number has decreased over the past six months. Now only one in five russians fears mobilization. At the same time, the russian government has de facto prepared everything necessary to start mobilization at any moment. By the end of March, all legislative and regulatory acts will be in place, which means that by April 1, they’ll be fully prepared to start mobilization whenever the russian leadership – more precisely, vladimir putin – deems it necessary,” Denysenko explained.

It is worth noting that this survey was conducted via telephone in russia, encompassing 1,200 respondents.
