One person killed, three wounded in missile attack on Odesa on May 17 – Southern Ukrainian Defense Forces

One person is in hospital with a fracture. This was reported by Nataliya Humenyuk, chief of the Joint Coordination Press Office of the Security and Defense Forces in the South of Ukraine, at a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine – Odesa. 

She said that the enemy attacked Odesa with six Kalibr and two Iskander-K systems.

“The missiles were launched from the Black Sea and the occupied territories, all the missiles were destroyed, but their fragments damaged the company’s warehouses. As a result, one person was killed, two were injured, and later another person asked for help,” said Humeniuk.

She added that the South Operational Command usually shoots down missiles over the sea, but a situation where their fragments could fall and cause damage is quite possible.
