On May 22, russians fired 370 shells at Kherson region – one person was killed, three wounded – Military Administration

In total, the de-occupied territory was shelled 61 times a day. This was stated by Oleksandr Tolokonnikov, speaker of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, at a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine – Odesa.

“Russians fired 370 shells at the right-bank Kherson region – mortars, MLRS, cannon artillery. Kherson was fired upon six times, with hits in the Suvorivskyi district and the Ostrov neighborhood, fortunately, without casualties. Two women were wounded in the villages of Kazatske and Vesele, which are located right on the shore opposite Nova Kakhovka, and another woman was injured in the village of Kachkarivka. In Stanislav, a 45-year-old man was killed while helping his father-in-law repair the roof,” – Tolokonnikov noted.

He added that as of 13:00 on May 23, russians shelled the settlements of Kizomis and Stanislav, there were no casualties, a 64-year-old woman died in Kozatske village from mortar fire. 

In Beryslav, the russians fired about 10 shells at the local cemetery, and in the village of Mykhailivka they destroyed a school and the village council building.

Tolokonnikov also added that about 40 out of 282 settlements in the Kherson region are almost 90% destroyed and will be total rebuilt.
