Of the 1,600 shelters inspected, 97% do not meet the requirements – Secretariat of the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights
There are no shelters in Pavlohrad, Ukraine’s largest transit center, through which Ukrainians are being evacuated from occupied and frontline territories. This was stated during a briefing at the Ukraine Media Center by Tetiana Horodenska, a representative of the Secretariat of the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights.
“The only shelter there is a concrete structure belonging to the State Emergency Service. The Commissioner’s Secretariat has conducted over 1,600 monitoring visits across Ukraine. We examined the condition of the shelters. Of this number, 97% of the shelters do not meet the requirements. Only 80 shelters had no recommendations,” she emphasized.
