Occupiers fire at power engineers, but work continues; authorities plan to reduce duration of outages — Head of Mykolaiv Oblast Military Administration

Yesterday, the enemy opened fire on a team of power engineers who were restoring the electricity supply line to one of the drinking water supply facilities in Mykolaiv region. Vitalii Kim, Head of Mykolaiv Oblast Military Administration spoke about this at a briefing at Media Center Ukraine — Ukrinform.

“The day passed peacefully. There was shelling of the water area near Ochakiv community, there were no victims or destruction. The occupiers continue to shell two important areas; there is some destruction. They also fired at power engineers who were restoring the power supply line to one of these facilities. The team set off, it was fired upon. They were forced to retreat, to wait for the military to give them permission to continue work. The situation is difficult, but we are working,” — Vitalii Kim noted.

Restoration of electricity supply in Mykolaiv region continues.

“Energy supply is being restored, limits are increasing. We plan to ask for a reduced duration of outages. The situation in the region is stable, we are now completely dependent on the energy system of Ukraine,” — Head of Mykolaiv Oblast Military Administration added.
