Nuclear power generation can cover about half of the existing deficit – Oleksandr Kharchenko
Nuclear power generation has the potential to cover about half of the current energy deficit. All available resources, including imports, will be used to fill the remaining gap in the grid.
This was stated by Oleksandr Kharchenko, Director of the Energy Research Center, during a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine.
“Nuclear power generation can provide about half of what we need, so at the moment everything that is available is being used. Literally everything that can be used is being integrated into the grid. But even with all these measures, including imports, it is still not enough,” he explained.
