No nation yet willing to assist in repatriation of captive Ukrainian medics
No nation has yet shown an interest in facilitating the repatriation of Ukrainian medical personnel held by russia.
Victoria Tsymbaliuk, Coordinator of Family Support Projects at the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War, shared this update during a briefing at Media Center Ukraine.
“As far as I know, no statements have been made regarding the repatriation of medics. We are urging the international community and the Ukrainian government to take action, given the hope of our prisoners of war, their families, and ourselves for such political will and action,” she stated.
Tsymbaliuk emphasized that Ukraine is open to considering a third country to aid in the repatriation process of military medics held captive by russia.
“Ukraine has declared its willingness to consider a third country for the repatriation of captured medics. Every country has been informed of their potential role, and we encourage them to participate. As soon as any nation expresses readiness, Ukraine will seriously consider and evaluate such offers,” she added.
