New digital service from the Ministry of Justice: online registration of civil society organizations based on a model charter

Over the past two weeks of testing the new service, more than 30 civil society organizations have used it. This was announced during a briefing at the Ukraine Media Center by Lyudmyla Sugak, Acting Minister of Justice of Ukraine and Deputy Minister of Justice for European Integration.

“The new service makes it possible to register a public organization from anywhere and at any time. It also allows for registration under a model charter—a document within the legal framework that significantly minimizes the need to resubmit documents due to technical errors,” she noted.

Olga Ryabukha, Deputy Minister of Justice of Ukraine for Digital Development, Digital Transformation, and Digitalization, emphasized that the model charter is a standard founding document that can be used to develop, approve, and register an organization’s own individual charter. This document was adopted by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

To register a public organization online, you must:

– log in to the Diya portal;

– fill out the application;

– provide an electronic signature;

– automatically generate the application;

– check the relevant box for the State Tax Service regarding non-profit status;

– receive the extract within three days.
