National Police Opened over 19,000 Criminal Proceedings Based on Facts of russians’ War Crimes
Oleksii Serhieiev, Head of the Organizational and Analytical Support, and Operational Response Department of the National Police of Ukraine, made this statement at Media Center Ukraine — Ukrinform.
“Investigators of the National Police opened over 19,100 criminal proceedings based on facts of crimes perpetrated in Ukraine’s territory by the military personnel of the russian armed forces and their henchmen; most of them are based on the following articles of Ukraine’s Criminal Code: Article 438 (Violation of Laws and Customs of War) – 13,136 proceedings; Article 110 (Violation of Ukraine’s Territorial Integrity and Inviolability) – 4,997 proceedings; Article 111-1 (Collaboration) – 830 proceedings,” Oleksii Sierhieiev stated.
According to him, units of the National Police keep locating individuals who cooperated with occupation forces, engaged in collaboration, sabotage, terrorism, and other activities directed against Ukraine.
“The police officers interviewed over 56,000 persons; as a result of our checks, almost 2,500 persons were handed over to the Security Service of Ukraine, 146 were arrested, and 172 were notified of being under suspicion,” the Head of the Organizational and Analytical Support, and Operational Response Department of the National Police of Ukraine said.
