Mykolaiv Ports and Operators Are 90% Ready to Work Through the “Grain Corridor”, But Russians’ Consent Is Required Because of the Danger of Shelling — Vitalii Kim

During the briefing at Media Center Ukraine — Ukrinform, Vitalii Kim, Head of Mykolaiv Oblast Military Administration, talked about the prospect of joining the Mykolaiv ports to the “grain agreement” before the liberation of the Kinburn spit.

“At the moment, Mykolaiv ports and operators are 90% ready to work through the “grain corridor”. But liberation of the Kinburn spit makes an additional factor that could open up this possibility. The first and main one: this is russians’ consent to the grain ports of the Mykolaiv region to start operation. Because we do not shoot our vessels. The danger comes from russians who fired at barges that tried to leave the Mykolaiv port in the direction of Odesa. At the moment, this is dangerous and depends on russians,” Vitalii Kim said.
