More Than 85% of Israeli Citizens Support Ukraine in This War, But We Need the Government to Do More — the Ambassador of Ukraine

The overwhelming majority of Israelis support Ukraine, but current cooperation with the Israeli Government does not meet the expectations of our state. Yevgen Korniychuk, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Israel, made this statement during the briefing at Media Center Ukraine — Ukrinform.

“We held our personal research as an embassy, and there are official studies by the analysts: 85%+ of Israeli citizens support Ukraine in this war. It is about the Government: I am not an ambassador to the citizens, I am an ambassador to the Government, and I need the Government to do more. We need to make sustainable strategic decisions that are different from Israel’s policy for many years to come. In other words, Israel was very reluctant to share its know-how, technology, and weapons. The cooperation we have as for now does not meet the expectations of the Ukrainian side, unfortunately,” the Ambassador reported.
