More than 7,000 applicants from the Temporarily Occupied Territories (TOT) have already submitted their applications to Ukrainian universities—Ministry of Education and Science 

Ukraine has a special admission provision for Ukrainian universities that sets aside separate state-funded spots for applicants from the Temporarily Occupied Territories (TOT) and areas of active combat, known as “Quota 2.” It entitles applicants to compete for state-funded spots only among other applicants in the same category.

Alla Rybalko, Deputy Director General of the Directorate of Higher Education at the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, stated this during a briefing at the Ukraine Media Center.

“Under Quota 2, 26,744 applications were submitted by 7,165 applicants. This is more than last year. This indicates that the Ministry of Education and Science’s admission rules are constantly being improved and provide greater access to higher education,” she said. 

This year, October 1 was set as the deadline for applicants to arrive at higher education institutions.
