Ministry of Defense starts preparing for winter by purchasing clothes for needs of Ukrainian Armed Forces
This statement was made by Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Hanna Maliar during a briefing at Media Center Ukraine — Ukrinform.
“The process of preparation for the winter season has begun. We started receiving winter clothes under the Ministry of Defense’s contracts. Winter jackets were ordered first. The plan is to prioritize contracts with Ukrainian manufacturers. However, due to the personnel shortage, the Defense Ministry is forced to place orders abroad,” — Hanna Maliar said.
Over the past week, the Ministry of Defense handed over more than 21,000 bulletproof vests, over 7,000 helmets, more than 5,000 pairs of shoes and about 21,000 sets of uniforms.
