Loyalty for Ukrainian goods needs strengthening, National Cashback program contributes – Deputy Minister of Economy

The Ukrainian government is taking steps to bolster support for domestically made products through the newly launched National Cashback program. In the wake of russia’s full-scale invasion, many Ukrainians have shown a strong preference for goods produced in their home country. This initiative aims to further encourage that trend by offering financial incentives to those who continue choosing Ukrainian products.

The National Cashback program is a social initiative that provides state aid to citizens under specific conditions. Shoppers who purchase goods from Ukrainian producers and pay with a virtual card will receive a 10 percent cashback on their purchases each month. Deputy Minister of Economy Nadiya Bihun announced this during a briefing at Media Center Ukraine.

This monthly reimbursement is designed to make it easier for Ukrainians to endure the upcoming winter, with the funds available for essential expenses such as food, utilities, and medicine, or even for donations to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The program not only supports consumers but also aims to boost domestic production. By encouraging the purchase of Ukrainian goods, the government hopes to motivate producers and retailers to increase the availability of locally made products. Additionally, Nadiya Bihun emphasized that the initiative seeks to assist small producers by driving sales and helping them compete against the shadow economy. The program requires transparency from participating producers, ensuring they operate openly and within the law.
