Last night was the coldest in Chernihiv and Sumy regions as temperatures plummeted to 24-25 degrees

The freezing temperatures sweeping across Ukraine were especially intense in the northeast, in particular in Chernihiv and Sumy oblasts. Last night was the coldest in these regions.

Natalia Ptukha, Head of the Media Communication Department of Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center of the State Emergency Service, made this statement during a briefing at Media Center Ukraine – Ukrinform.

“In Chernihiv and Sumy oblasts, specifically the northern areas of these regions, the temperature dropped to 24 and 25 degrees below zero. It is quite noticeable,” she said.
