Lack of new crops from Ukrainian ports will cause global food scare – Agricultural Ministry

The consequences of russian aggression for the global economy are obvious. Existing grain stockpiles are intended to last only until the new crop, Mykola Solsky, Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine said so at a briefing at Media Center Ukraine — Ukrinform on May 9

«Obviously, when there are no new crops from Ukrainian ports at the end of July, foreign partners will start to panic. Right now, they are overpaying for grain. Shortage of Ukrainian grain will globally affect all the food products of the entire world,» — Mykola Solsky said.

The Ukrainian Agricultural Minister noted that Ukraine isn’t counting on financial or material aid from partners to solve agricultural issues, but the country is asking for help with setting up logistics channels.
