Number of IDPs in Dnipropetrovsk region reaches 390,000 people, of whom 153,000 live in Dnipro, 70,000 in Kryvyi Rih — Mykola Lukashuk
The vast majority of internally displaced persons currently registered in Dnipropetrovsk oblast are staying in Dnipro city. Mykola Lukashuk, Head of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Council, Deputy Chair of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Defense Council, made this statement at a briefing at Media Center Ukraine — Ukrinform.
“Now we see that the number of internally displaced persons in our region has increased since our last meeting with you (November 28, 2022, Ed.) by, approximately, another 20,000: it was 370,000, now it is 390,000. The lion’s share of people remain in Dnipro. The second largest city in terms of registered IDPs is Kryvyi Rih. If we talk about Dnipro, there are more than 153,000. If we talk about Kryvyi Rih, there are over 70,000. All the rest are in other communities,” — Lukashuk said.
