Kherson flood leaves 8 people dead, enemy shelling continues– Oleksandr Tolokonnikov on current situation in Kherson region
During a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine – Ukrinform, Oleksandr Tolokonnikov, Spokesman for the Kherson Oblast Military Administration, talked about the victims of the disaster at the Kakhovka HPP and the consequences of the enemy shelling in Kherson region.
According to the Spokesman for the Kherson Oblast Military Administration, three people were killed and another ten injured as a result of enemy fire on evacuation boats heading from the left bank.
“As a result, three people died, ten more were injured, among them were two law enforcement officers. All people are now in the hospital, in serious condition, in intensive care, some in moderate condition, bullet wounds,” he said.
Oleksandr Tolokonnikov noted that two more men who were hiding in a tree from the flood have been saved from the russians in the past day. They were taken to the hospital, currently their condition is satisfactory.
At the same time, Kherson Oblast Military Administration Spokesman pointed out that the russians have been shelling Kherson since the very morning, and the shelling continues even now.
“In the morning, at around 5 AM, they shelled Kherson, Shumenskyi district. Three people were injured there, shrapnel wounds. They were taken to the hospital, all of them are in moderate condition,” he added.
Referring to the information released by the Interior Ministry, Oleksandr Tolokonnikov noted that it is currently known that eight people died as a result of the flood, 42 are considered missing.
