Japan’s government and leading businesses working out ways to cooperate in reconstruction of Ukraine
Today, the Japanese government has created a special committee for the reconstruction of Ukraine, which is personally headed by Prime Minister Fumio Kishida. In addition, almost all Japanese companies, especially leading trading houses, have created special offices on Ukraine tasked with drawing up plans for these companies and corporations regarding cooperation with Ukraine. In particular, the plans are to cover issues related to urban planning and a number of other areas important for our state.
Sergiy Korsunsky, Ukraine’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Japan, made this statement during a briefing at Media Center Ukraine – Ukrinform.
“These are all the areas of interest to us; this is something in which Japan has experience and significant results. These are transport, energy, heavy engineering, waste management, city planning, urban planning. Because we have to renew dozens of bridges and build new huge bridges across the Dnipro, etc. The Japanese know how to do it better than anyone else. That is, such things are in the field of view,” the Ambassador noted.
