It is very good that Ukrainian books follow Ukrainians to other countries — Ukraine’s Ambassador to Poland
The Ukrainian book is becoming increasingly popular in Poland and not only among citizens of Ukraine, but also among the people of Poland.
Vasyl Zvarych, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Poland, made this statement during a briefing at Media Center Ukraine — Ukrinform.
“It is very good that the Ukrainian book is traveling abroad with Ukrainians, and the Ukrainian book helps to maintain the connection with the Ukrainian state. As of today, we have already distributed about 30,000 Ukrainian books, including among Polish schools. Because we know that about 200,000 Ukrainian children study in Polish schools, and it is for schools in Poland that the Ukrainian book is of great value. So our children studying there can have the opportunity to live, study, read and maintain contact with the Motherland via Ukrainian books,” — Vasyl Zvarych said.
At the same time, he added that the Polish side also took a very active part in the distribution of the Ukrainian book.
“The Ministry of Culture and National Heritage of Poland even allocates funds so that publishers here in Poland will print books in the Ukrainian language. And this is really a huge support for us, this is a huge understanding and yet another manifestation of the solidarity of the Polish people and the Polish government with Ukraine, which is fighting for the freedom not only of its state, but also for the freedom of the whole Europe.”
