“Installation of temporary structures is carried out simultaneously with work on restoration of permanent bridges,” Ukravtodor

Ukravtodor restored 1,185 kilometers of state roads and built temporary structures on 54 bridges. In addition, Ukraine received international aid in the form of bridges that have already been installed or are being installed right now.

Andrii Ivko, Deputy Head of Ukravtodor State Agency of Automobile Roads of Ukraine made this statement at Media Center Ukraine — Ukrinform.

“The Czech Republic provided 4 bridges. So far, Ukravtodor has installed two — in Kyiv and Cherkasy regions. Two more bridges will be installed in Kharkiv region. To date, three artificial structures have been manufactured in France, and they are now being shipped to Ukraine. They will also be installed in Kharkiv oblast,” — Ivko said.

International aid includes only temporary structures that will eventually be replaced by permanent ones.

“Simultaneously with the installation of temporary structures, work is being carried out on cost documentation for the restoration and reconstruction of permanent bridges. After the victory, these temporary structures will be used in regions prone to flooding and natural disasters,” — he explained.
