In Odesa region  crops will be harvested   from 1 million hectares

The lack of equipment and personnel will not prevent this. Alla Stoyanova, director of the department of agrarian policy, food, and land relations of the Odesa regional military administration, told this at a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine – Odesa.

“The harvesting campaign in Odesa region has already started, we always start a week or two earlier than other regions. We plan to harvest grain crops from an area of more than 1 million hectares in the region,” – the official said.

She added that almost four thousand harvesters are needed for the campaign in the region, three thousand units are Odesa-based equipment, and the rest were brought in from outside.

“We also had problems with the shortage of harvester workers, but today the problem of booking these specialists is being successfully resolved. The region has an understanding that the harvesting campaign will be successful,” – Stoyanova summarized.
