In April, 38 children evacuated from parts of Zaporizhia region that remain under constant shelling— Yurii Malashko

The authorities of Zaporizhia region have been evacuating families and children from the territories where hostilities are taking place to safe regions.

Yurii Malashko, Head of Zaporizhia Oblast Military Administration, made this statement at a briefing at Media Center Ukraine — Ukrinform.

“This work is carried out every day in all cities where hostilities are taking place: Hulyaipole, Orikhiv and Mala Tokmachka. Together we carry out this work with the police. Moreover, we show families where they can live, where they will live. And not only directly in the city of Zaporizhia, or in Zaporizhia region, but also in the entire territory of Ukraine. We also cooperate with international organizations that are ready to take families abroad,” he noted.

In particular, Yurii Malashko noted that 38 children were evacuated in April.

“In the month of April, 38 children were evacuated. For example, there are two children left in Orikhiv, and they are supposed to leave either today or tomorrow. This process is endless, and we are constantly working on this issue,” the Head of Zaporizhia Oblast Military Administration explained.
