If putin ends so-called Special Military Operation tomorrow, 48% of russians will unequivocally support it — political scientist Vadym Denysenko
According to a new survey conducted on the territory of the russian federation by the newspaper Dilova Stolytsia in collaboration with the sociological firm New Image Marketing Group, 48% of russians will unequivocally support the end of the so-called Special Military Operation, if vladimir putin announces it tomorrow. Another 27% said they are likely to support such a decision. The results of the survey were presented during a briefing at Media Center of Ukraine. Political scientist Vadym Denysenko said that only 13% of respondents will definitely not support the decision to end the so-called “special military operation,” and 7% are unlikely to support it.
A total of 58% of respondents said that putting a stop to hostilities is more important than holding new territories. 33% hold the opposite opinion. In May of this year, 46% of russians were in favor of ending hostilities, and 40% wanted to keep the land russia captured.
42% of respondents are ready to start peace negotiations with Ukraine as soon as possible. 26% agree to negotiations only if russia takes control of Kyiv, 18% mentioned other conditions required for negotiations to begin, and 7% will never agree to negotiations.
“42% represents the potential group we can work with and expand. ‘Taking control of Kyiv’ stance ” plus ‘never’ mindset accounts for 33% of the most stubborn electorate. Over the past 2.5 years, this delusional electorate has grown by 10%. This is a negative trend for us,” said Vadym Denysenko.
