Housing dissatisfaction: over 20% of Ukrainians unhappy with rental conditions, Cedos reports
More than 20% of Ukrainians who rent their homes are dissatisfied with the conditions, according to a 2019 study by the independent research group Cedos.
Ivan Verbytskyi, the director of Cedos, shared these findings during a presentation at Media Center Ukraine.
“Our study revealed that roughly one in five tenants are unhappy with their living conditions,” he stated.
Additionally, the study highlighted safety concerns, with more than 20% of respondents reporting that they don’t feel secure in their rentals. Around the same number expressed fears of being evicted without notice.
The issue extends beyond safety, as 35% of participants said their quality of life is impacted by renting, with many feeling they cannot fully enjoy life without owning a home.
