General Staff identifies two key battlefronts amid intense fighting

Today, heavy combat rages on in the Pokrovske and Kurakhove regions. The enemy is mounting offensive assault operations there, deploying a significant number of troops backed by heavy weaponry.

This was announced by Ihor Prokhorenko, Acting Deputy Head of the Main Operations Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, during a briefing at Media Center Ukraine – Ukrinform.

“Currently, the Pokrovske and Kurakhove fronts are the primary hotspots. Fierce battles are ongoing, with the enemy launching onslaught both day and night, using substantial personnel and heavy arms support. While the enemy has achieved some tactical gains and we have lost certain positions, their operational success remains limited. Our defense forces are resolutely maintaining their lines and positions,” Prokhorenko stated.
