“For the First Time in a Long While, russians Shelled Sumy Oblast at Night,” Head of Sumy Oblast Military Administration

As before, russian invaders keep shelling Sumy Oblast. Earlier, the aggressor used to refrain from shelling during the night; however, there were two artillery attacks the night before.

Dmytro Zhyvytskyy, Head of the Sumy Oblast Military Administration, disclosed this during his briefing at Media Center Ukraine — Ukrinform.

“In the last 24 hours, russia shelled Sumy and Okhtyrka Raions and Krasnopillia Municipality. They use multiple rocket launchers, mortars, grenade launchers, and other weapons,” Dmytro Zhyvytskyy said.

The Head of the Sumy Oblast Military Administration added that some municipalities in the oblast have the status of combat areas. Because of that, the region’s funding from the national budget was curtailed.

“It means we have fewer funds to pay salaries, purchase equipment for the military, and implement defense measures,” he added.
