Fedir Venislavskyi: No plans to use Reserve+ app or other electronic means for military summons

The Reserve+ app and other electronic communication methods will not be employed to issue military summonses.

During a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine, Fedir Venislavskyi, a Member of the Ukrainian Parliament’s Committee on National Security, Defense, and Intelligence, emphasized these points.

“There are no technical obstacles to notifying those subject to military service,” said Venislavskyi. “However, the President, the Verkhovna Rada, and the executive branch have made it clear that neither the Reserve+ app nor any other electronic communication methods will be used for issuing summonses. Furthermore, any such changes would require legislative action. Currently, there are no proposed laws concerning the use of electronic methods for delivering information or communicating with individuals liable for military service. As such, there’s no basis for discussing this matter today—the political stance is evident, but there is no legal framework to support it,” he emphasized.
