European aid to Ukrenergo surpasses USD 1.5 billion since invasion, says Volodymyr Kudrytskyi

Since the all-out invasion outbreak, European partners have contributed over USD 1.5 billion to Ukrenergo. 

Volodymyr Kudrytskyi, Chairman of the Management Board of NPC Ukrenergo, disclosed this figure during a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine.

“I want to express my gratitude to our European partners and the German’s KfW Development Bank for their unprecedented support. This substantial aid of over USD 1.5 billion has enabled us not only to restore our main grids, substations, and power lines but also to use significant financial resources to settle debts in the electricity market, enhancing power plants’ readiness for winter,” Kudrytskyi stated.
