Enemy trying to hide their ships behind civilian vessels – Natalia Humeniuk
In the vicinity of the Kerch Strait, the occupiers have created an inspection area where civilian vessels have queued up with warships hiding behind them.
Natalia Humeniuk, Head of the United Coordinating Press Center of Security and Defense Forces of the South of Ukraine, made this statement at a briefing at Media Center Ukraine – Ukrinform.
“Realizing that the enemy is no longer completely at ease in the Black Sea and their bases, using the analytics that have already indicated effective work of the Defense Forces at various distances, they are trying to hide behind civilian shipping. That is, by creating a kind of an inspection area near the Kerch Strait, accumulating civilian vessels there, behind which (the enemy ships – Ed.) are actually hiding,” she said.
According to Natalia Humeniuk, “the occupiers consider more or less safe for themselves the area that can be tentatively defined as the eastern coast of Crimea, and around Novorossiysk.”
In addition, she noted that in the area of Snake Island, the enemy is trying to demonstrate their dominance by dropping guided aerial bombs from tactical aircraft.
