Enemy ships within striking range of Defense Forces

Despite efforts by the enemy to conceal their ships, they remain within striking range of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

Natalia Humeniuk, Head of the United Coordinating Press Center of Security and Defense Forces of the South of Ukraine, made this statement during a briefing at Media Center Ukraine – Ukrinform.

“Hypothetically, yes, they (enemy ships – Ed.) are within striking range. But the most important thing is for us to plan combat work in the most efficient way possible. Because we understand that they will defend themselves, they have the capabilities to do so, including anti-aircraft defenses, and they are trying to build additional barriers against sea drones. In particular, we saw that during their regular short-term patrols in the Black Sea, they do not stray very far, the only thing they do is check on the integrity and position of the sea boom barriers installed at the entrance to the bay, and now they are adding extra layers (of boom barriers – Ed.),” Natalia Humeniuk explained.
