Enemy missile cruisers back at naval bases, but missile danger still high – Natalia Humeniuk
The general situation in the Black Sea remains stable, the enemy continues to stay in the area that they consider safe – a stretch from the eastern coast of Crimea to Novorossiysk. The number of occupiers’ ships has been somewhat decreased, so today 5 ships have been observed in the Black Sea and 1 – in the Azov Sea. All missile cruisers are back at their naval bases. However, missile danger is currently estimated as high.
Natalia Humeniuk, Head of the United Coordinating Press Center of Security and Defense Forces of the South of Ukraine, made this statement during a briefing at Media Center Ukraine – Ukrinform.
“But this does not negate the missile threat. Because we remember that they are capable of striking using sea-based missiles, including from Novorossiysk bays, they have already shown this in practice. Therefore, the General Staff estimates the missile danger as high, but at the same time notes that there are no units on combat duty, and the probability of using such weapons is rather low,” explained Natalia Humeniuk.
