During October 28-29, in connection with bad weather, Kharkiv rescuers were involved 29 times to assist the population

Yesterday in Kharkiv Media Hub, another weekly briefing was held by the spokesman of the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Kharkiv region, Yevhen Vasylenko, who spoke about the operational situation that developed in the Kharkiv region from October 23 to 29.

Thus, according to the speaker, during the specified period, the employees of the Kharkiv Garrison State Emergency Service made 182 trips under the “Alert” signal, 3 of which were related to the conduct of hostilities. In more than 90 cases, rescuers went to road accidents, to help the population and to eliminate the consequences of enemy shelling. 1 person was rescued from fires not related to hostilities.

As a result of russian shelling in the Kharkiv region, two civilians were killed and 7 people were injured.

From October 23 to 29, sappers of the State Emergency Service discovered and neutralized almost 763 explosive objects in 271 cases.

Since the beginning of the great war, 34 pyrotechnic squads and 74 units of special equipment of the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine have inspected almost 3.95 thousand hectares of territory, about 2.78 thousand km of power lines, discovered and neutralized more than 81.6 thousand ammunition and other dangerous objects.

Also during the briefing, Yevhen Vasylenko said that during the specified period, 2 civilians were blown up by unknown explosive devices. Unfortunately, one person died.

In addition, according to the spokesman of the State Emergency Service of Kharkiv region, during October 28-29, due to bad weather, units of the Kharkiv Garrison of the State Emergency Service were involved 29 times to assist the population and communal services. 29 units of rescue equipment and about 140 personnel of the State Emergency Service were working. 24 fallen trees were removed from roads and residential areas, other urgent emergency works were carried out.

Due to worsening weather conditions in Kharkiv, in one case, 3 people were injured due to a falling tree. Two victims were hospitalized in a medical institution.

Also, Yevhen Vasylenko spoke in more detail about the consequences of the enemy rocket attack on the building of the fire station in Izyum on October 26, as a result of which 8 employees of the State Emergency Service were injured, the building and 13 pieces of equipment were damaged. According to him, 4 rescuers are still in the hospital. They are provided with all necessary medical assistance.
