Defense Forces halt enemy advance and inflict fire damage – General Staff provides update on Kharkiv axis situation

Today, the situation in the Kharkiv sector is stable and under control, the Defense have successfully halted the enemy and are inflicting fire damage on them.

Ihor Prokhorenko, acting Deputy Chief of the Main Operations Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, made this statement during a briefing at Media Center Ukraine – Ukrinform.

“Regarding the Kharkiv sector, since May 10, the enemy has been conducting an offensive operation along this axis with the aim of creating a buffer zone in Kharkiv region. Today, the situation there is stable and under control. The enemy’s advance has been halted, and the Defense Forces are inflicting fire damage on them, as well as planning and carrying out offensive assault actions to restore lost positions,” he said.
