DAY FOR UNBROKEN: UKRAINIANS TRANSFER ONE-DAY SALARY TO BIONIC PROSTHESES FOR UKRAINIANS AFFECTED BY THE WAR
UNBROKEN together with the charity platform dobro.ua launched the project “Prostheses for unbroken”. As part of this charity project, we call on Ukrainians to transfer their one-day salary to modern bionic prostheses for unbroken Ukrainians. This initiative will last until October 19.
“A year ago, we declared October 19 the Day for Viktoriia. And more than 50 million were collected all over the country for the little girl from Lviv, Viktoriia. The girl had SMA, she needed the most expensive injection in the world. Viktoriia received an injection and is now undergoing rehabilitation. The girl has good results and her muscles are getting stronger every day. This year, this day is for Unbroken,” says Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovyi.
Now it is necessary to collect 100 million UAH. With these funds, the UNBROKEN Center will purchase bionic prostheses for Ukrainians affected by the war. There are military and civilians. The prosthetics program has already started.
Recently, 33-year-old paratrooper Mykhailo Yurchuk received the first bionic prosthesis from the Ukrainian company Esper Bionics. In March 2022, his brigade defended Izium. An enemy shell hit an armored personnel carrier next to Mykhailo. He got blown up when he ran to save his friends. When Mykhailo opened his eyes, his hand was gone and his leg was crushed.
The second prosthesis installed in Lviv is the lightest in the world and is produced by the American company Unlimited Tomorrow. It was printed on a 3D printer. Yuriy from Lviv, who lost his arm as a result of a mine-explosive injury, received the prosthesis.
In general, several hundred Ukrainians are waiting for prostheses. In order to help unbroken Ukrainians, go to the site of the charity platform dobro.ua – https://dobro.ua/project/unbroken/payment/ , transfer your one-day salary to the “Prostheses for the Unbroken” project by October 19 and share information about the initiative in your social networks, so that even more interested people could join in supporting the project.
