Damaged critical infrastructure restored by 99% – Vitalii Kim on Mykolaiv region’s readiness for the heating season

Mykolaiv region is ready for the upcoming heating season.

Vitalii Kim, Head of Mykolaiv Oblast Military Administration, made this report during a briefing at Media Center Ukraine – Ukrinform.

“The heat supply agreement for critical infrastructure facilities is made. We are monitoring the preparation status, which has been going on since March-April this year. At the moment, this preparation is coming to an end. The critical infrastructure that was damaged last year has been restored to 98-99%. That is, we are ready for an upcoming challenging heating season,” he said.

However, according to Mr. Kim, the issue of firewood is left unresolved.

“Among other things, it is since there is no subvention yet. But logistics plans are already made and worked out all the way. We are currently conducting training on critical infrastructure to work out critical issues that are held throughout the region. Hence, the region is ready for this year’s heating season, but the number of shelling and missiles to be expected this year is a very uncertain factor,” he added.

Vitalii Kim also noted that critical infrastructure facilities, including medical institutions, have been provided with independent power supplies.
