Currently, the offline educational process cannot be resumed in the de-occupied territories — Ministry of Education and Science

Throughout Ukraine, 12,923 schools are involved in the educational process, 1075 schools are still in the occupied territory, and this figure decreases constantly. However, invaders are mercilessly destroying the educational infrastructure facilities.

Andrii Vitrenko, First Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine, made this statement in Media Center Ukraine — Ukrinform.

“In violation of the Geneva Conventions, invaders hid in schools and stayed there. Therefore, the educational process cannot be resumed even in the schools of the liberated cities and towns. But owing to the heroism of Ukrainian teachers, it was possible to arrange for an online learning process,” he said.

According to the First Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine, a large number of children in the occupied territories study online under the Ukrainian curriculum: “I don’t want to name the regions, this is dangerous both for teachers and children, but there are many such children. We are in touch with all administrations to ensure that teachers receive their salaries on time.”
