Cooperation with foreigners and repairs of educational institutions and homes  – what the Odesa regional Office for international cooperation has achieved in three months of work

The institution was established in June 2023 through communication and coordination with partner regions, twin cities and international donor organizations. Roman Hryhoryshyn, Deputy Head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, said this at a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine – Odesa.

According to the official, similar offices have been established in all regions of Ukraine. Among the main achievements of the Odesa office is the establishment of cooperation with the Bremen, Germany.

“The government of the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen has allocated 718 thousand euros to rebuild educational institutions in Odesa that were damaged by Russian missile attacks. These arrangements will be formalized by signing a trilateral agreement between the Bremen authorities, the Odesa regional military administration and educational institutions in late September. We have also agreed with the Bremen Chamber of Commerce to hold a business mission this fall to introduce German businessmen to Odesa region,” Roman Hryhoryshyn said.

Thanks to the cooperation between GEM and the Howard G Buffet Foundation, more than 1500 new windows have been installed in damaged buildings in Odesa region.

By the end of the year, it is also planned to increase the number of partners, in particular, communication is underway with the Valencia region of the Kingdom of Spain and the Primorska-Goranska County of the Republic of Croatia.
