By fall, vegetable prices may rise by 8–15%, while meat and dairy products will increase in price by 8–20%, according to experts.
Ukrainians should expect an increase in the cost of their grocery basket. Denis Marchuk, deputy chairman of the All-Ukrainian Agrarian Council, made this statement during a briefing at the Ukraine Media Center.
“There will be a partial decrease in vegetable prices this summer. However, as vegetables are put into storage, the costs associated with storage will also contribute to price increases. Vegetable prices may rise by 8–15%. The same situation applies to dairy and meat products. During the summer, prices may rise by 8 to 20%. The price of bread may increase by up to 25% over the course of the year,” he noted.
