Bilateral talks at Crimea Platform Parliamentary Summit highlight Ukraine’s call for long-range weapons
Closed-door bilateral meetings at the recent parliamentary summit of the International Crimea Platform focused on Ukraine’s ongoing call for long-range weapons.
Ukrainian MP Maria Mezentseva provided details during a briefing at Media Center Ukraine, revealing insights into Ukraine’s outreach to international allies.
“We held more than 28 bilateral meetings led by Speaker Ruslan Stefanchuk, where we discussed a wide range of topics,” Mezentseva said. “It was notable that even traditionally neutral countries with restrained military aid policies showed interest in the current battlefield developments. These sessions were private, and nearly all were off the record, allowing us to speak openly about Ukraine’s need for long-range weapons.”
Mezentseva also highlighted a recent PACE resolution, passed a year ago, which acknowledged the legitimacy of Ukraine’s defense goals—a stance supported by 46 parliaments worldwide.
