As part of the Bring Kids Back UA initiative, 2,044 children have returned to Ukraine 

Over the four years since the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, 2,044 children have been brought back from the occupied territories or from Russia. 

Oleksandra Dvoretska, head of policy development for the President of Ukraine’s Bring Kids Back UA initiative, made this announcement during a briefing at the Ukraine Media Center.

“Every week, 20–30 children move from the occupied territories. Since the start of the full-scale invasion, we have managed to return 2,044 children,” she said. 

Oleksandra Dvoretska emphasized that a child’s journey toward reintegration is only just beginning after their return.

Bring Kids Back UA is an initiative that helps bring back abducted Ukrainian children or children who wish to leave the occupied territories.
