Artur Dobroserdov: All repatriated soldiers’ remains are being accounted for and identified

All remains of fallen Ukrainian servicemen returned to the country undergo a thorough investigation and identification process, according to Artur Dobroserdov, Ukraine’s Commissioner for Missing Persons in Special Circumstances.

Speaking at the Media Center Ukraine, Dobroserdov addressed concerns raised by citizens regarding the handling of repatriated bodies. He refuted rumors suggesting that unidentified remains might be sent to crematoriums to conceal Ukraine’s military casualties.

“We’ve encountered various rumors. The latest concern raised by citizens during our meetings—after some kind of PSYOP was initiated—was whether bodies returned for repatriation are sent to crematoriums if they cannot be identified quickly, to prevent Ukraine from reporting military losses. I can state unequivocally that this is not true. Every body is accounted for, and thorough investigations are conducted to identify each one,” he emphasized.
