Why is it important?
The Ministry of Internal Affairs and the State Emergency Service of Ukraine have launched the Community Rescue Officer initiative to enhance civil protection at the local level. So far, 1,227 communities in 23 regions and the city of Kyiv have joined, including those near the front lines. The program is building a modern, reliable response system to safeguard residents and address emergencies more effectively.
